PAST PROGRAM

This event is now history, but we have many more wonderful programs in store for you!

Description: Fall Kickoff B.A.R.K. Ranger Hike!

Location: Seven Islands State Birding Park

**Pre-registration is required for this event**

Is your four-legged hiking buddy ready to become an official B.A.R.K. Ranger? Join Ranger Destinee and Bark Ranger Goose on a short hike to learn what it takes to become a B.A.R.K Ranger and demonstrate those paw-ifications to earn your pup a Seven Islands B.A.R.K Ranger tag!

This program is recommended for dogs who are ready and able to demonstrate the four principles of being a B.A.R.K Ranger including:

· Bag your pet’s waste and dispose of it properly

· Always wear a leash

· Respect wildlife and park visitors

· Know where you can go

Please meet at the Bluebird Barn at 9:00am. Each dog and their owner will need to complete a short checklist of tasks out on the trail and then they can be sworn in as an official B.A.R.K. Ranger! They will receive their B.A.R.K Ranger dog tag and a certificate that they will sign with their paw print.

To make the most of this experience we recommend dressing comfortably for outdoor activities, wearing sturdy walking shoes, and bringing water for you and your dog. Owners must also bring dog poop bags and your dog’s leash. Be prepared to walk 1.5 miles over both paved and unpaved surfaces. For more details about the route we will take, read the Essential Eligibility Criteria.

The cost of this program is $5.00 per pup and limited to one dog per owner. Owners must be able to maintain control of their leashed dog while on State Parks grounds. Dogs must be able to walk on leash within eyesight of other owners and pets as this program will have multiple participants.
