Come out to Big Ridge to join staff for an Evening Lantern Hike. We will be hiking the 1.2-mile Ghost House Trail using lanterns as our primary source of light and completing the full loop. As we hike, we will discuss the history of the park and the flora and fauna that makes up Big Ridge State Park. Additionally, we'll stop at some points to tell the stories that give the Ghost House Trail its name.
Be sure to bring weather appropriate clothing, sturdy shoes, water, a hiking stick if needed, and a backup source of light if you have one. All lanterns will be provided. We look forward to seeing you!
We will be meeting in the parking lot of the Norton Grist Mill. Children under 7 are not recommended to attend this program, and children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
