This event is now history, but we have many more wonderful programs in store for you!
Come out to Big Ridge to join staff for an Evening Lantern Hike. We will be hiking the full 1.7-mile Mountain Biking Trail using lanterns as our primary source of light and completing the full loop. As we hike, we will discuss the history of the park and the flora and fauna that makes up Big Ridge State Park.
Be sure to bring weather appropriate clothing, sturdy shoes, water, a hiking stick if needed, and a backup source of light if you have one. All lanterns will be provided. We look forward to seeing you!
We will be meeting in the gravel parking lot of the Mountain Biking Trail, which is just off Highway 61 in a curve. Parking is limited to around 10-15 vehicles, so please carpool if possible. Click the Google Maps link for directions to the parking lot.
