Description: Environmental Review Tool (ERT) for Env. Consultants

Location: TN Division of Natural Areas

This training event compliments the launch of the TDEC – DNA Environmental Review Tool (ERT), which is a new web application developed to assist with consideration of rare, threatened, and endangered species. The event is designed for environmental consultants or other professionals coordinating reviews of RTE species. Based on a project area submitted by the customer, the ERT provides a report describing rare species that have been identified within 1- and 4- miles (as documented in TDEC’s natural heritage database), suggests actions for determining the presence of these species at a site, and directs customers to additional resources. The report also provides documentation to self-certify consultation with TDEC-DNA through the ERT. 

Any person may create a user account and access the ERT map interface, but users must attend an ERT Training hosted by TDEC-DNA to be able to generate Environmental Review Reports from the platform. This one-hour event will include an introduction to the ERT, a demonstration of its functionality, and time for questions with the Division’s Environmental Review Coordinator. User permissions in the ERT will be upgraded for attendees following the training. 

Please note this is a VIRTUAL EVENT and that registration closes at 11:59pm Central the day before. More ERT trainings will be offered in subsequent weeks as needed.

ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT, A MEETING LINK WILL BE SENT TO THE EMAIL ADDRESS YOU PROVIDED ABOUT 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO THE TRAINING.
