Description: East TN Young Birder's Club-Spring Migration Walk
Location: Seven Islands State Birding Park
Join the East TN Young Birders Club at Seven Islands State Birding Park for a morning of birding during the peak of spring migration! Over the course of two hours, participants will explore the park’s meadows, forests, and river edges in search of migrating birds including warblers, vireos, sparrows, and many other seasonal visitors traveling through East Tennessee.
Along the way, young birders will practice bird identification skills, learn about migration, and discover how different habitats support a wide variety of bird species.
Participants will also have the chance to meet Seven Islands’ newest avian ambassador, the American Kestrel known as Captain Jack Sparrowhawk.
Bring binoculars if you have them, wear comfortable walking shoes, and get ready for a fun morning of birds and discovery in the field!
This program is a partnership with Ijams Nature Center. The registration link will take you to their site.
