Long Hunter State Park is happy to announce our newest member of the team, Verge!
Verge is a Mounted Patrol horse who can be seen around the park with his partner, Ranger McDonald. This team is the newest addition to Tennessee State Park’s Mounted Patrol Unit and are so excited to preserve and protect the park together to make it a better place for you to visit and recreate.
Verge is a hard working boy who requires a lot of love and care. This takes daily attention and repeated costs such as, feed, hay, veterinary bills, and supplies needed for grooming and tack. If you would like to help us with some of these costs, you could donate to the Mounted Patrol. These donations go toward the care and upkeep of the horses.

If you’re interested in a Mounted Patrol sticker or patch, stop by the Visitor Center where they are available for purchase.
