PAST PROGRAM

This event is now history, but we have many more wonderful programs in store for you!

Description: Disability Advocacy Day Hike (1pm)

Location: Henry Horton State Park

Join us for an accessible hike along our greenway trail. This hike is open to anyone and will showcase some of the amazing features of the park while also introducing some of the ways that Henry Horton State Park is becoming a model for accessibility in State Parks.

The trail is a 1.3 mile paved trail that will take us around the day-use side of the park. This hike is open to anyone and more information about accessibility need can be found in the essential eligibility criteria document.

Please be aware of construction happening on our park that may affect park entrances, exits, and parking along the day-use side of the park. Guests visiting the Visitor Center, Restaurant, Cabins, Shelters, and Conference Hall should expect modified traffic flow. Please follow the clearly marked DETOUR signs around our park to navigate the new day-use area traffic flow. For concerns about accessing program or for specific directions before the program, please reach out to the program host at the listed contact information. Thank you in advance for your understanding.
