Description: Daddy's Creek Guided Hike
Location: Cumberland Trail State Park
Join seasonal interpretive ranger Cameron for a guided hike at Daddy's Creek trail. The Cumberland trail is home to several rocky outcrops and overlooks throughout. The section of trail at Daddy's Creek contains both a cave and a stunning overlook above the creek. This guided hike will allow participants to explore both of these features an learn about their importance beyond being attractive landmarks. This hike is recommended for ages 12 and older. The hike will cover ~3.0 miles and will begin at 9:00 AM Central time. Participants need to bring water, snack, and proper footwear for hiking.
PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Registration cut-off is 8/31. If no one is registered, the hike will not take place.

Very Steep Slope Hike
Program participants should be able to do the following, independently or with the assistance of a companion or adaptive equipment:
Understand and follow instructions to avoid and/or manage risks
Tolerate the outdoor elements for at least 2 hours
Perform self-care including maintaining nutrition and hydration, and managing existing medical conditions
Be able to identify and recognize environmental risks, including but not limited to, falling objects/rocks, loose rock and unstable surfaces, very steep and uneven terrain, cliff edges, crevasses, moving water (fast or slow) such as rivers or creeks, and potentially hazardous animals and insects
Move over uneven, rocky, narrow terrain 3 miles, including a rock staircase.
Support body weight while moving up and down a very steep 65% incline and decline over large rocks, tree roots, and potentially slippery soil for >2 miles
