Join Park Staff on a guided hike and introduction to fishing along the Blackburn Fork River. Sturdy hiking shoes are required, and feel free to bring a backpack with snacks and drinks.
Meet park staff at the visitors center at 7:30 AM [CST]. From there, participants can expect to hike between 3 to 3.5 miles through uneven terrain. This event is not recommended for children under the age of 12.
Be sure to have your TWRA fishing license, a trout stamp is not needed. Participants can expect to catch a variety of fish such as smallmouth bass and bluegill. Fishing poles will be provided but feel free to bring your own.
Cancellation Policy:
Program is weather dependent. In the case of inclement weather participants will be contacted by park staff.
