This event is now history, but we have many more wonderful programs in store for you!
Join Ranger Hatton on an adventurous night hike to Crystal Falls along the Hidden Passage trail and delve into the park's rich history. This family-friendly expedition covers approximately 2 miles round-trip and offers a moderately challenging experience. We will convene at the Visitor Center and then proceed to the trailhead, located about 1/2 mile north of the Visitor Center. Participants should be prepared for rugged trail conditions and navigating uneven rocky terrain. Please ensure you wear sturdy footwear and bring an ample supply of water and snacks.
Experience the park from this unique perspective beneath the starlit sky, guided by old-fashioned oil lanterns illuminating the way. Flashlights are not permitted unless they are equipped with a red lens. Oil lanterns will be provided to all participants.
In the event of inclement weather, hike cancellation notifications will be posted on the park's Facebook page. An adult must accompany children under the age of 16, and please note that refunds will not be issued unless the event is canceled.
Let's meet at the Visitor Center at 6:30 pm CST. A fee of $10.00 applies to adults, and children under the age of 10 can join for $5.00. Please be aware that the hike is limited to 15 participants.
