This event is now history, but we have many more wonderful programs in store for you!
Join park staff for a relaxing float down the waterways of Big Hill Pond. The float will start on Cypress Creek and end at the boat ramp on the Tuscumbia River. We will float with the current which is perfect for relaxing and soaking in the scenery. Some places may require dragging the kayak through shallow areas or over trees so please wear water shoes. We will stop halfway for a lunch break so pack a light lunch in a sealed cooler. Bug spray, sunscreen, water shoes, and snacks and water are recommended.
We will meet at the Park Office where a shuttle will be provided to the kayak launch. A hayride will be provided at completion back to the park office.
This registration is for those who have their own kayaks and would like to join the float. Transportation of the kayak will be provided. Meeting place stays the same.
Weather and water level pending.
Absolutely NO alcoholic beverages are allowed on the float!
This registration is for a single kayak. One registration = one kayak.
