Description: Make Your Own BARK Ranger Tag Display Board
Location: Standing Stone State Park
Join Park Ranger Stephanie at the Rec Hall on Saturday, June 14th at noon to create your own BARK Ranger tag display board.
The rectangular boards will come pre-cut (examples are posted on our social media pages) with the option of choosing from and adding various pieces such as paw prints, trees, bones, etc. We will be able to offer a wooden cut out of your dog's breed to add to the board too. Once registered, please email Ranger Stephanie with your dog's breed or the closest option. We will be painting the wood pieces and using strong glue to piece them together. Small hooks with screws will be provided to add to the boards for hanging/displaying the tags. Each board has the capacity to hold up to 20 hooks as designed, depending on the placement of added wood pieces.
While crafting, we will discuss the importance of the BARK Ranger rules and responsible pet ownership when visiting parks. We can also share where each participant's BARK Ranger journey has taken them. Feel free to bring your current tag collection to display on the board once completed.
The fee covers the cost of supplies. The wood work was done locally at West Fork Screen Printing & Embroidery. Thank you for supporting Tennessee State Parks & local businesses.
*Dogs are welcome to attend as well- the Rec Hall has sidewalks and grassy areas nearby and a water bowl will be provided. Please use owner discretion as the craft might take some time and other park visitors use this building for activities & for the restrooms.
