Description: Christmas Ornament Needle Felting
Location: Cordell Hull Birthplace State Park
Wool played an important role in the lives of farming families like the Hull's. Through spinning and weaving, it transformed into clothes, blankets, scarves, and more. Join us to learn more about this process and use wool to make your own Christmas ornament!
This program is intended for ages 6+, but everyone is welcome to attend.
You will leave this program with a greater understanding of historical fabric making processes and the craft of needle felting.
This program will last about 30 minutes to an hour and will be indoors. We will begin with a discussion about how the Hull family utilized wool and then begin our craft.
We will provide all materials and will be working with sharp needles. To better prepare for this program, please read the Essential Eligibility Criteria.
In the case of inclement weather, this program will be cancelled.
