This event is now history, but we have many more wonderful programs in store for you!
Long before Europeans arrived in East Tennessee, there was already an ancient and vibrant culture present- the Cherokee. Join Seasonal Interpreter Morgan McGregor in the Visitor’s Center to learn about Cherokee life and culture in the late 1700s through early 1800s, as well as their interactions with European settlers. This program will include a brief overview of significant events in Cherokee history. Learn what they valued, what they ate, how they had fun, and much more! This program will last for about 30 minutes and is appropriate for all ages.
