This event is now history, but we have many more wonderful programs in store for you!
Join SIR Kandace for an introduction to the history of natural and traditional dyes and how people in the past dyed cloth using materials from the land. This program will give you a chance to try a simple synthetic tie dye method on a tote bag that you can take home.
After a short talk about how dyes were made and used historically, park staff will guide everyone through the tie dye process step by step.
This program is great for those of all ages and will last less than 1 hour. All materials needed will be provided to registered participants.
Please wear clothing you don't mind getting a little dye on or bring an apron if you prefer.
In the event of inclement weather, this program will be cancelled.
