This event is now history, but we have many more wonderful programs in store for you!
Meet us at the Pickett County Library where we will investigate the environmental impacts of everyday plastic use, learn how to construct ecobricks as a form of reuse, and discover practical applications for them. The program encourages critical thinking as we explore ways to reduce plastic waste. After our discussion, each participant will be able to start their own ecobrick to later finish at home.
This program is recommended for guests of all ages who would like to learn more about ways to reuse plastic materials that cannot be recycled using conventional methods.
All materials will be provided for this program, however feel free to bring a clean/empty Gatorade or soda bottle for your ecobrick if you like!
To make the most of this experience, we recommended dressing comfortably for indoor/outdoor activities, wearing sturdy walking shoes, and bringing water.
In the event of inclement weather, this program will be cancelled.
