This event is now history, but we have many more wonderful programs in store for you!

Description: Fire Making

Location: Cordell Hull Birthplace State Park

Join SIR Kandace to learn the basics of fire making. We will talk about the things you need in order to start a fire, how to be safe around fire, and some things that were historically used to start fires.

This program is recommended for people who are interested in learning the basics of fire safety and how to build a fire. Kids ages 10 or older may participate with adult supervision and assistance.

This program will last around 30 minutes. After the program and safety measures are described, you will get to attempt to start your own fire!

All supplies will be provided for the program. Please register to ensure we have enough supplies.

In the event of inclement weather, this program will be canceled.
