This event is now history, but we have many more wonderful programs in store for you!
Earth Hour is a time where people around the world turn off all of their lights to show support for our planet. It’s a simple, symbolic act that reminds us how powerful we can be when we all take small steps together. It traditionally takes place at night, however, since the park is closed at that time we are going to celebrate during the day.
Meet SIR Kandace at the museum where we will create a bouquet of dandelions out of yarn and pipe cleaners. While we craft, we’ll talk about the planet, the importance of Earth Hour, and a few easy things we can all do to help care for our world.
All materials will be provided by the park, please register to ensure we have enough supplies.
This program is open to everyone!
In the event of inclement weather, this program will be canceled.
