PAST PROGRAM

This event is now history, but we have many more wonderful programs in store for you!

Description: Birding/Binocular Basics

Location: Cordell Hull Birthplace State Park

Birds have a vital role in our ecosystem and birding is a fun and inexpensive way to enjoy watching these creatures in their element. It is important to know the proper etiquette of birding and the proper way to use binoculars before you set out. We will also talk about the very basics of birding, and we will be walking a short distance in order to use our binoculars.

This program will last around 1 hour and is recommended for people of all ages who are interested in learning the proper techniques for using binoculars and how they work, as well as for those that are interested in birding/birdwatching. Kids 5 and younger may participate with adult supervision and assistance.

Binoculars will be provided for use during the program. Please register to ensure we have enough supplies. Space is limited!

In the event of inclement weather, this program will be cancelled.
