This event is now history, but we have many more wonderful programs in store for you!

Description: CCC History Hike

Location: Harrison Bay State Park

Do you like hiking? History? Woodworking? Masonry? All of the above? This hike will be perfect!

Join Ranger Dani on a hike of Harrison Bay's historical treasures built by the CCC in the 1930s. Learn about the creation of the CCC, its role in Tennessee State Parks and the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA).

The hike will be about .5 to the base of Patten Hill and back to the Star Walk (1 mile total). This walk will take place over paved and gravel roads and will be suitable to most wheelchairs. All terrain wheelchairs are available to be reserved or on a first-come basis.

Bundle up or bring an umbrella-- we are hiking rain or shine! The hike will be rescheduled if inclement weather is expected.

Please meet at the Star Walk Trail parking lot located across from the Interpretative Center.
