Seasonal Interpretive Rangers Abby and Kaelin will teach you the basics of Dutch oven campfire cooking and give you a taste of what the Civilian Conservation Corps would have been eating here over 80 years ago- Wacky Cake! This is a simple recipe without any milk or eggs, but a heaping portion of chocolate! You’re welcome to stick around and sit by the campfire as we indulge in this depression era dessert. Supplies and space are limited for this event, so register today!
Meet us at the Boat Dock parking lot and we'll take you to the communal campfire behind Cabin #4. Upon arrival, please be courteous of cabin guests as we make our way to the campfire. This is a first come, first serve event; registration ensures that you get a spot.
