Description: Caney Fork Trail Hike
Location: Scott's Gulf Wilderness State Park
Join Ranger Allen for approximately 7-mile through hike beginning at the Caney Fork Trail and ending at the Polly Branch trailhead.
We will meet at 9:30AM at the Virgin Falls trailhead then travel via shuttle van (provided by Scott’s Gulf Wilderness) to the Caney Fork Trailhead where we will begin our hike.
Along the hike, we will pass several waterfalls, including, Gunstock Falls and Upper and Polly Branch Falls.
This is considered a strenuous hike with substantial elevation change and uneven footing. Please wear weather appropriate clothing and sturdy hiking shoes, and bring plenty of water, a light lunch, and snacks. Walking sticks are highly recommended.
We will hike along the Caney Fork trail and end at Virgin Falls trailhead where the shuttle began, and your vehicle will be waiting for you after a long, successful, and rewarding day of hiking.
Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
