Description: Campout with Rangers and Living History Presenters 2025 FPSHP

Location: Fort Pillow State Park

Join Fort Pillow State Historic Park Rangers Stoney and Tyson on November, 1^st 2025 for a campout with the Rangers and Civil War Living History Presenters. We will meet at the picnic pavilion at 4:00 pm to start setting up. We will provide supper on the night of November 1^st and a pancake breakfast over an open fire the next morning the way it was done in the 19^th century. The Living History Presenters will be dressed in period clothing and camping in period equipment. While we are together everyone will have the chance to look over all the equipment Civil War soldiers would have used at Fort Pillow. We will also offer an 1861 Springfield Rifle demonstration on November 1st. After dark we will go on a night hike to see some of the earth works that were built in 1861. Cannon Demonstrations will be offered on the morning of November 2^nd. Camping gear is not provided so everyone must bring their own equipment if they intend to stay overnight for breakfast.
