Location: Pickwick Landing State Park
Ages 14 - 18 years old
This day camp program begins July 9th at 1:00 pm, and will conclude on July 11th. See tentative schedule below.
Camp Dunbar
2025 marks the 90th anniversary of CCC Company 3459’s arrival at Pickwick. During “Camp Dunbar,” participants will learn about the history of Pickwick’s CCC camp through an immersive series of programs that reflect aspects of camp life and activities CCC Company 3459 engaged in during their time here.
All registered campers are encouraged to camp at our main campground with their families. Registration includes a predetermined campsite at no charge.
Camp Life Activities:
- Morning and Evening Flag Ceremony
- Campfire building
- Campfire cooking
- Complete a service project
- 1930s-style recreational games
- Poetry writing
- Kayaking
- Create a camp newspaper
Once registered, you'll receive a registration packet, a tentative daily schedule, and essential eligibility information about each camp activity.
This program is provided at no cost due to funds received from the Bronco Wild Fund.
For those families that are camping, check-out will be 12:00 pm (noon) on Saturday, July 12th.
