This event is now history, but we have many more wonderful programs in store for you!
Join Interpretive Ranger Amanda at the campfire interpretive area for a fun and educational bug hotel building activity. Using materials we gather from the forest floor—like twigs, pinecones, and leaves—along with recycled items such as old jugs and containers, we’ll build cozy shelters for insects and other tiny creatures. Along the way, we’ll talk about the vital role bugs play in keeping our ecosystems healthy and balanced. This is a great chance to get creative, explore the forest up close, and learn about the small but mighty creatures that call it home.
Wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty, and don’t forget to bring water, snacks, and sunscreen.
