PAST PROGRAM

This event is now history, but we have many more wonderful programs in store for you!

Description: Birds of Prey Hike

Location: Seven Islands State Birding Park

**Pre-registration is required for this event**

There are many raptors that call Seven Islands home. We will hike approximately 3 miles and look for hawks, vultures, kestrels, owls, and eagles. We will also learn about the habitats used by all of our native birds of prey and the field marks you need to identify them.

Participants are encouraged to wear good walking shoes, bring water, and wear appropriate clothing for the weather. Binoculars and field guides are available to borrow if needed. Participants should plan on meeting Ranger Clare at the Bluebird Barn at the main entrance on Kelly Lane at 1:00pm.

In case of forecasted inclement weather, Ranger Clare will contact all registered participants by email at least 4 hours prior to the start time of the program.  If you have any questions regarding this program, please contact Ranger Clare at clare.dattilo@tn.gov.
