This event is now history, but we have many more wonderful programs in store for you!
Pre-registration is required for this event
Join the park’s Avian Biologist for a special guided birding walk and get an inside look at how we monitor and study birds at Seven Islands! Learn to identify species by sight and sound, gain insight into bird behavior and habitat use, and hear about ongoing research and conservation efforts at the park. Whether you’re a seasoned birder or just starting out, this walk offers a unique opportunity to deepen your birding skills with a professional.
This program is recommended for adults and older children with an interest in birds. Please meet at the Bluebird Barn at 7:30 AM. Be prepared to walk 2-3 miles over a mix of paved and unpaved trails with some moderate hills. For more details about the route we will take, read the Essential Eligibility Criteria. The program will last approximately 2 hours and includes stops for bird observation and discussion.
The cost for this program is $6 per person.
Please bring binoculars if you have them, or borrow some from us. Come prepared with good walking shoes, a water bottle, and sunscreen. Pets are not allowed on programs, except service animals.
