This event is now history, but we have many more wonderful programs in store for you!
You don’t need to memorize hundreds of bird species to be a successful birder—you just need to know where to look! Birdwatching becomes incredibly rewarding when you have the right tools at your fingertips.
Join Seasonal Interpretive Ranger Cameron for an introduction into the birding hobby.
This program will help participants become familar with the equipment and resources they can utilize to begin their own birding adventures. No prior birding experience is required and all experience levels are welcome!
The program will begin with a short presentation on the fundamentals of birding at the interpretive center outdoor classroom. Following the presentation, we will take a short 0.5 mile hike around the Star Walk Trail to identify any birds we come across.
Binoculars will be available but participants are welcome to bring their own equipment to the program!
We will meet for the program at the interpretive center, located at the entrance of Harrison Bay.
