Birding can be tricky, especially in the summer when all the warblers are hiding high in the canopy. Did you know that every bird species has its own unique song/call? Birding by ear can allow you to know what you're looking for before you ever see the bird of interest! Join Seasonal Ranger Ashlyn on a hike through the park to learn how to identify birds based on their songs!
Please come prepared to hike ~1.3 miles through Tall Timbers and Christmas Fern Trails. Both trails are rated easy. Please bring a water bottle and wear appropriate shoes for hiking. Binoculars are recommended, but not required!
The cost is $5. Please meet Ranger Ashlyn at the Tall Timbers trailhead by the East Cabins. Registration is required.
