This event is now history, but we have many more wonderful programs in store for you!
**This is a FREE program, but pre-registration is required.**
If you’ve recently discovered a new interest in birding, this beginner-friendly hike is the perfect place to start! Join a park ranger at Seven Islands State Birding Park for a relaxed walk focused on learning the basics of birdwatching. We’ll cover beginner identification tips, explore common bird songs, and highlight useful tools and resources to help you become a confident birder. This program is a great way to build your skills and enjoy the park’s beautiful bird habitat.
This program is recommended for ages 10 and up. Please meet at the Bluebird Barn by 7:00 AM. Be prepared to walk 2–3 miles over natural, semi-steep surfaces. For more details about the route we will take, read the Essential Eligibility Criteria. The program will last approximately 3 hours and will include plenty of opportunities to stop, listen, and look for birds.
Please come dressed for the weather with sturdy walking shoes, water, and optional field guides. Binoculars are recommended—some will be available to borrow in limited supply. Pets are not allowed on programs, except service animals.
