This event is now history, but we have many more wonderful programs in store for you!
Come out to Meeman-Shelby Forest State Park and bird with your esteemed guides, Liz Reed and Julie Hartsfield. This particular event is designed for anyone physically or cognitively disabled, anyone with mobility challenges, and anyone with a mental illness. However, everybody is free to join! There will be a stationary birding opportunity and a moving birding opportunity. The moving opportunity will be on our paved (asphalt) Bike Trail, which can accommodate wheelchairs and other mobility assisting tools.
There will be a 30-minute stationary birding opportunity then a 30-minute moving opportunity on the Bike Trail starting at 10:00am. Those that do not want to join on the 30-minute moving opportunity can stay in the stationary location.
