PAST PROGRAM

This event is now history, but we have many more wonderful programs in store for you!

Description: Bird Watching 101

Location: Burgess Falls State Park

Join SIR Natalie in the morning for an introduction to birding basics! We will discuss how to use binoculars properly and learn how to identify native bird species. You'll learn what to look for and listen to when spotting birds. After the introduction, we'll take a walk along sections of our Riverside trail to try and identify some birds and put our new skills to the test. Please wear weather-appropriate clothing and closed-toed shoes. Bring your binoculars, field guides, water, and snacks. If you don't have binoculars, the park will provide some for you. Participants should be at least twelve years old.

We cannot guarantee parking for this program; parking is first come, first served!
