Ever wondered what it's like to look a hawk in the eyes?
Join SIR Dixie to meet our bird of prey ambassadors! In this program, you'll have the chance to get up close to our Red-Shouldered Hawk, Bentley. If you're lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of our two Barn Owls! Hear their stories and discover what makes these feathered predators so amazing.
In this program, you will learn a bit about our feathered friends and their role in our ecosystem. We will explore the benefits they provide, along with the challenges they face in the wild.
What you need to know:
- This program will last thirty minutes
- Make sure to bring snacks, water, and appropriate clothing for the weather.
-This program will take place at our Interpretation Center. You can either follow the signage within the park, or put in Edgar Evins State Park Interpretive Center & Aviary, Edgar Evins, State Park Road, Silver Point, TN 38582 into your favorite navigation app.
