This event is now history, but we have many more wonderful programs in store for you!
Celebrate the changing seasons with a guided bird walk at the Head of the Sequatchie! Join seasonal interpretive ranger Cameron to experience and learn about fall bird migration on the Cumberland Trail. After a brief introductory presentation on fall migration, we will explore the trails at the Head of Sequatchie in search of migrants making their way through the valley. This program is great for beginner birders but all experience levels are welcome!
Participants can expect to hike around ~1 mile on a mix of paved areas and uneven trail.
Bring binoculars if you have them or borrow limited pairs available here at the park. Come prepared with adequate walking shoes and water.
We will meet for the program at 9:00 A.M. CST at the Head of Sequatchie visitors center.
