Description: Girl Scouts Love State Parks- Snakes are Scaly, Not Scary
Location: Burgess Falls State Park
Join Seasonal Interpretive Ranger Kandace for a hands-on encounter with some of Tennessee’s native snake species. We will explore animal adaptations, predator-prey dynamics, species diversity, and some of the conservation efforts that help protect these cool reptiles.
This program supports badge work for Animal Habitats, Animal Helpers, Voice for Animals, and more, making it a perfect fit for curious Girl Scouts of all levels.
This program will last between 30-60 minutes and there will be an opportunity to touch a live snake.
All you need to bring is your curiosity and enthusiasm, we’ll handle the rest!
In the event of inclement weather, this program will be cancelled.
**Please note: Burgess Falls experiences high visitation on the weekends and parking is limited, you may want to arrive earlier than the program start time to find a parking spot.**
