Description: Beginning Spinning Wheel

Location: Cordell Hull Birthplace State Park

Learn to use a spinning wheel and make your own yarn for crocheting or knitting. Bring your own wheel or use one of ours. We will have both a great or walking wheel and smaller treadle spinning wheels available for use. Fiber for spinning is provided. Make sure to bring your lunch and snack. Cost $30 per person. Limit of 9 people. 

Sue Duncan is a retired park ranger from Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area. She has over 30 years in historical interpretation and education.

This class is supported by a grant from Tennessee Arts Commission.
