Description: Beginners Cross Stitch

Location: Cordell Hull Birthplace State Park

In this beginner workshop, you’ll master cross-stitch basics as you complete either a fox, raccoon, squirrel, owl, hedgehog, or flowers that you can take home. All materials needed will be provided and are included in class cost, including fabric, embroidery floss, 2.5 inch hoop, and needle.

Caitlin Davis has been an employee with the State of Tennessee for seven years, working previously at Sgt. Alvin C. York State Historic Park before transferring to the Division of Remediation – Oak Ridge Office in 2023. Wanting to express herself artistically but lacking an ability to draw, she turned to an activity she had enjoyed since childhood, cross-stitching. Initially, she cross-stitched patterns designed by others, but over the years has created several patterns of her own to represent her interests.
