Description: Birding Hike to Savage Falls

Location: Savage Gulf State Park

Join Ranger Jamie as she observes migratory and year-round resident birds on an approximately 3-mile roundtrip hike to Savage Falls. Please meet at the Savage Gulf East Trailhead, 3157 SR 399, Palmer, TN at 8:30 a.m. to begin the hike. Binoculars are not required but are highly recommended. Park does NOT supply binoculars. Please bring plenty of water and wear adequate hiking shoes. Terrain of the hike is moderate and may approach near ledges, so care is needed. Weather dependent.

Please pre-register. All times listed are Central. Please cancel no later than 24 hours before the start of the hike for a full refund.

-----

New and experienced birders alike enjoy using the Merlin app for birding. The ranger will be using this tool during the program, and encourage participants to use it, too. Learn more about the app here (https://merlin.allaboutbirds.org/).
