Description: Beginner Archery for All
Location: Henry Horton State Park
Start from basics with learning how to shoot archery. Use rental bows and arrows to understand the basics of using a compound bow for archery. Learn proper stance and how to follow through with your shot to get the best scores possible.
All materials are including in the cost of the program, including bows and arrow. Personal bows are allowed but must have less than a 20lb draw weight. Practice-tip aluminum arrows will be provided.
This program will not follow NASP teaching styles and will not prepare participants for competition shooting through NASP. NASP archers may attend to gain practice hours but must have completed a beginner NASP class prior to attending.
This program is open to all groups, including school-aged kids and adults. It is recommended that kids be at least 9 years old OR able to pull a 5lbs draw weight bow. Please see the attached Essential Eligibility Criteria for more information on program requirements.
