This event is now history, but we have many more wonderful programs in store for you!
Archery has been found in many civilizations for many thousands of years. Archery was primarily used for hunting and war, in 1879 the National Archery Association was established and promoted archery as sport. Join us for the history of archery, best practices, and range practice!
This program is recommended for kids ages 10 and up. Youth participants MUST be 8 years or older AND accompanied by an adult.
From 60,000 B.C. battles and hunting to 2024 Olympics, archery has a rich history we will be learning about. We will also go over best practices and learn the basics of archery. After discussing the history of archery and learning safety measures, you will get to enjoy some target practice!
All equipment will be provided by the park. Closed toe shoes are highly recommended. Please see the attached Essential Eligibility Criteria for more information to prepare for this program.
In the event of inclement weather, this program will be cancelled.
