Fort Pillow State Historic Park
Annual Civil War Living History
April 11th and 12th 2026
Join the staff of Fort Pillow on April 11th, 2026, for our Annual Living History Event. Programs will pertain to steps required to fire a Civil War Cannon and rifle/musket, hikes, transportation to and from the fort, museum tours, weapons tactics, encampment tours, blacksmith demonstration, food vendors, and much more. Activities will start at 10:00 a.m. on the 11th and will end at approximately 4:00 p.m. There will be a night hike to the Restored Fortification crossing the newly built suspension bridge at 7:30p.m. On April 12th join the Park Manager for a cup of coffee and a Museum Tour from 8:00a.m. to 9:00a.m. Encampments will be open from 8:00a.m. until 10:00a.m. on April 12th as well.
