This event is now history, but we have many more wonderful programs in store for you!
Get up close and personal with one of Tennessee’s most fascinating native reptiles in this engaging Animal Encounter program! Meet our friendly milk snake and discover how snakes like her play an important role in keeping our ecosystems healthy by controlling rodent populations and maintaining balance in the food web.
This program is a great opportunity to learn more about Tennessee wildlife and the incredible diversity that calls our state home. We’ll explore common myths about snakes, highlight their unique adaptations, and talk about how to safely and respectfully share our environment with them.
Tennessee’s natural spaces depend on all of us. By learning about native species like the corn snake, we can better understand our responsibility to protect wildlife and preserve these habitats for future generations.
Join us for this hands-on experience and see for yourself why snakes are more helpful than harmful - you might even leave with a new appreciation for these often-misunderstood animals!
No registration required; donations appreciated. Event will be cancelled in the event of rain.
