Description: Day After Thanksgiving Hike: Virgin Falls to Rylander's
Location: Scott's Gulf Wilderness
Its the day after Thanksgiving! Join Ranger Allen for a 9-mile through hike beginning at the Virgin Falls Trail and ending at the Lost Creek Falls trailhead. We will meet at 9:00AM at the Lost Creek Falls trailhead then travel via shuttle van (provided by Scott’s Gulf Wilderness) to the Virgin Falls Trailhead where we will begin our hike.
Along the hike, we will pass several waterfalls, including, but not limited to, Big Laurel Falls and Virgin Falls.
This is considered a strenuous hike with substantial elevation change and uneven footing. Please wear weather appropriate clothing and sturdy hiking shoes, and bring plenty of water, a light lunch, and snacks. Walking sticks are highly recommended.
We will hike along the Virgin Falls trail and end at Lost Creek Falls trailhead where the shuttle began, and your vehicle will be waiting for you after a long, successful, and rewarding day of hiking.
Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
