This event is now history, but we have many more wonderful programs in store for you!
Join Ranger Caden at Pin Oak Shelter 1 on December 27th at 11AM to learn about foraging and brewing winter teas. We will focus primarily on pine, cedar, and a few others known for their medicinal value and high vitamin content, perfect for the common sicknesses of winter. We will learn to identify the plants/trees in the forest, then return to the shelter to brew teas and talk about other historical uses.
Everyone will get to try the teas and walk away knowing how to make them at home.
*Please note the restrooms by the shelter will be closed for winter. The nearest restroom will be one mile away.
