Among the rare species found at Sherwood Forest SNA are the federally endangered Morefield’s leather flower and the federally threated painted snake coiled forest snail. It also boasts some high-quality southern plateau trees and wildflowers. This hike along the 3-mile day loop will showcase some great trail, views, plant spotting, and geologic features. Among the very best day hikes on the southern plateau! Participants travel along relatively flat but uneven terrain with some steps throughout.
