Description: National Trails Day Hike
Location: Seven Islands State Birding Park
Celebrate National Trails Day with a guided hike focused on trail stewardship and Leave No Trace principles! During this engaging walk, you’ll learn how to care for our trails, reduce your impact on the environment, and ensure our park remains beautiful and healthy for generations to come. This program highlights how every hiker plays a role in protecting the natural world—because when we know better, we do better.
This program is recommended for all ages. Please meet at the Bluebird Barn at 9:00 AM. Be prepared to walk approximately 2-3 miles over both paved and unpaved surfaces. We will pause at several points along the trail to discuss Leave No Trace ethics, trail care, and how you can get involved in stewardship efforts at Seven Islands. The hike will last about 1.5 to 2 hours.
This is a free program, but please consider making a donation to help us care for the trails at Seven Islands.
Please come prepared with good walking shoes, sunscreen, and a water bottle. Pets are not allowed on programs, except service animals. This is a rain-or-shine event; please dress appropriately for the weather.
