We will be tackling one of our beautiful trails on this muscle-packed holiday! You will learn about some highly touted trails throughout Tennessee State Parks. Learn what leading a large hike on your own entails while you're at it. We will meet at the Woodland Trail trailhead to start this hike.
If you would like directions to the trailhead, stop by the Visitor Center at 910 Riddick Road and ask for directions from our friendly staff!
Please bring your own water bottle. There is a water bottle filling station in the Visitor Center.
Wear appropriate attire for the weather. No open toe footwear.
There will be two hikes. The more intense, quicker paced hike will be led by Ranger Decoda Muller and will be on the 3-mile loop. The more leisurely hike will be on the 1-mile loop and led by a Seasonal Ranger.
The more intense hike will be moderate to advanced, but there will be designated rest spots as well as points of interest where different plants/animals/insects will be pointed out. All hikers will be expected to wait for the Ranger to continue hiking at the rest spots.
