This event is now history, but we have many more wonderful programs in store for you!
Seasonal Ranger Jacob will lead a 1-mile hike covering the history of Johnsonville as a booming railroad town after the Civil War, and its eventual demise due to the creation of Kentucky Lake.
The hike will cover roughly 1 mile in distance, encompassing sections of the Buttercup Trail and the Gunpowder Trail. The trail encompasses a few steep elevation changes, primarily leading down from the Lower Redoubt.
Please wear appropriate clothing with closed toe, sturdy shoes. Please bring a water bottle. Park staff will provide bug spray and sunscreen.
