Description: Girl Scouts Love State Parks: Badge Workshop!
Location: Paris Landing State Park
Join us for a day of fun activities for Girl Scouts and their families as we celebrate Girl Scouts Love State Parks! Lots of fun activities are planned for all ages.
A special event patch will be provided to all Girl Scouts who register and attend the event. One fee of $10.00 covers all activities, events and the event patch to those who attend. You do not have to do all activities to receive an event patch.
This event will be held at Camp Hazlewood, a Girl Scout Camp from about 1950 to 2007. Our Park is excited to host this National Event at this special camp for the 2nd year with new, fun activities! (Hiking trails are also available for those who need to earn a patch with their troop.)
Ten different activities will be offered starting at 10:00 a.m.
Huts and Pavilions will be used to house the activities and provide shelter in case of inclement weather!
Scouts and their families can rotate through the huts, some self-guided, some hosted by park staff and volunteers.
Bring your family and come for the day or for a few hours and enjoy the fun and comraderie of the Girl Scouting Program.
****BRING A SACK LUNCH and drinks if staying for the day. **** Camp Hazlewood is a remote camp and no food or drink is available nearby. The event area is not paved, but is relatively flat, except for the hiking in the woods.
Girls new to scouting or just interested in the scouting program are welcome to attend. An informational booth will be available to those interested in the Scouting program.
