This event is now history, but we have many more wonderful programs in store for you!
Seasonal Ranger Jacob will lead a 1.5-mile hike through the Lower and Upper Redoubts, collectively known as Fort Johnson. Through storytelling and firsthand accounts, life before and after the Battle of Johnsonville will come to life on this hike.
The hike will cover roughly 1.5 miles in distance, encompassing the Gunpowder Trail and a small section down the main road in the park. The trail encompasses a few steep elevation changes, primarily leading up to the Upper Redoubt and back down.
Please wear appropriate clothing with closed toe, sturdy shoes. Please bring a water bottle. Park staff will provide bug spray and sunscreen.
